'Today If Sudama Gave Rice To Krishna SC Would Dub It Corruption': PM Modi's Dig At Top Court
In a dig at the Supreme Court, Prime Minister Modi said in today's generation even Lord Krishna could be accused of corruption if Sudama gave him rice.
Prime Minister Modi took a sharp dig at the Supreme Court as he said in today's generation even Lord Krishna could be accused of corruption if Sudama gave him rice. Speaking about an interaction with expelled Congress Acharya Pramod Krishnam when the latter said he could not give anything to the prime minister, he said it's good that he did not as in today's era everything is blown out of proportion.
He said, "He (Acharya Pramod Krishnam) said that everyone has something to give but I have nothing, I can only express my feelings. Pramod ji, it is good that you did not give me anything, otherwise the times have changed in such a way that if in today's era, Sudama would give rice to Shri Krishna and the video would come out, a PIL would be filed in the Supreme Court and the judgment would come that something was given to Lord Krishna in corruption and Lord Krishna was doing corruption. It is better that you expressed your feelings and did not give anything."
On laying the foundation project of the Kalki Dham project, he said, "Today, with the devotion of saints and the spirit of the public, the foundation stone of another holy place is being laid. I have had the privilege of laying the foundation stone of the grand Kalki Dham in the presence of Acharyas and Saints. I am confident that Kalki Dham will emerge as another great centre of the Indian faith..."
He said, “This is a wonderful moment of cultural Renaissance where we have witnessed the grand opening of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, another temple in Abu Dhabi, renovation of the Kashi Vishwanath temple and the transformation of Kashi.
“Centres of pilgrimage are being built and alongside medical colleges are also being constructed,” he said.
He asserted that this was a moment of India’s cultural awakening and development.
“January 22 when the Ram temple opened, is the beginning of a new era, new cycle. The Kalki temple is a preparation for the future. It is a temple for Kalki avatar and will have a sanctum sanctorum for all the ten avatars of Lord Vishnu,” he said.
